These were fun to do, it is so relaxing playing without having a theme. You can just draw and sketch and colour in and the mind just wanders...................... Faces and Houses.....................

Wow 2 weeks to go in this horrid cast, I really need to get around now i have had enough reading and sleeping and watching television.

Today i have played once again with Marvy markers. I just love them, and i guess they are easy to use while i am seat bound.

I am just amazed by the different techniques that i can achieve with these markers,here i have gently washed in the colours for the design and background. The colours are so soft.

I am needing to use some different mediums for awhile, perhaps i will give paints a try tomorrow. I can now sit up at a table with my foot on a cushion underneath.

Thank goodness i don't have to lie with the leg in the air anymore.

I have used canvas paper with watercolour pencils and black marker to finish

My Girls.............

I have used pastel pencils for these girls on a beautiful handmade and stitched paper, the details are a little hard to get really sharp and they need to have some embellishments like fibres for head dresses and beads and ribbons along the necklines and waists. This will have to wait until i can walk again.

More Marvy Markers, this time i coloured in the shapes with light and dark value markers and used the blender to rub soften. Really brilliant colours and great to use. I finished with a little black liner to bring the design together

I love Marvy Markers, for this page i put some colour from the brush end of the marker onto a wet palette and side loaded a flat brush and gently washed in the colours. They blend really well, i also used the fine point of the marker for a little extra detail.





I am getting really sick of this cast on my leg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I am spending my afternoons doing some pages for my journal, it is really hard lying in bed or sitting on a couch and painting, but my leg still needs to be raised.


Reading lots of books. I am glad i have my dogs Rosie and Jack for company, they are being truely spoilt by sleeping on my bed everyday.

More Journal Pages

Heart and Moon faces, these were fun to do, i used marvy markers for the outlines (thanks to Helen from Lornabluestudio for my wonderful order of markers) and a mixture of pastel pencils and watercolour pencils for the colouring in.

I am managing to fill in most of my days with lots of reading in the mornings and playing with my journal pages in the afternoon and night.

This is going to be a very long road to recovery so i guess if i do a couple of pages every day i will have a very large journal.

Today i am going to have a play with my marvy markers and try some pen outline with washes of colour. ...................................
Ooh!!! I just love these markers they are fantastic for washes and i have also washed them over damp paper. I will have to order some more very soon.

Pencils,Genesis

I have been having a play with colored pencils, A pale pink rose and Sweetpeas painted using Genesis paints

4 1/2 weeks to go

4 1/2 weeks to go in this cast BUT who's counting ME!!!!!!! Had a visit with my surgeon yesterday and they put a new cast on, tighter than the first one. I am so sick of this and it's only been 2 weeks..

These i call my mixed media ladies,Agatha and Agnes and My French Model.They are a mixture of many different techniques, acrylics,pan pastels,fibre,texture,stamping,stencils,sewing and heaps more.
